KEY FACTS:
• The Coyotes will enter the game less than 24 hours after earning their first win of the season, a 4-3 overtime thriller at Philadelphia on Monday.
• As he did Monday, Scott Wedgewood will start in goal vs. Detroit. Wedgewood stopped 28 of 31 shots in his Arizona debut vs. the Flyers. Wedgewood spends his summers in Michigan and lives about 35 minutes from Detroit. Goalie Hunter Miska, whom the Coyotes recalled from the American Hockey League on Monday, will serve as Wedgewood's backup, as he did on Monday. Meanwhile, Antti Raanta remains sidelined, on the injured-reserve list, with a lower-body injury.
• Defenseman Niklas Hjalmarsson, who suffered an upper-body injury in the third period on Monday at Philadelphia, will not play vs. Detroit. With Hjalmarsson sidelined, Adam Clendening will return to the lineup and play with Alex Goligoski.
• Rookie Clayton Keller will enter the game with a career-high six-game point streak. Keller has notched five goals and four assists during that stretch, and is leading the team and all NHL rookies in goals (eight), shots (47) and points (13).
• Max Domi will enter the game needing just one point to reach 100 points for his NHL career. Should he notch a point tonight, he would become the fastest player to reach 100 NHL points as a member of the Coyotes. Domi has played 152 NHL games.
• Christian Dvorak has notched a point in each of the past four games (one goal, three assists).
