Craig Anderson made 18 saves for the Buffalo Sabres in a 2-1 preseason loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins at KeyBank Center in Buffalo on Friday.

Dominik Simon and Michael Chaput scored for Pittsburgh, Casey DeSmith did not allow a goal facing 11 shots, and Louis Domingue made 20 saves.
Tage Thompson scored for Buffalo, and Dustin Tokarski made six saves in relief.
