Ottawa recalled Highmore from Belleville of the American Hockey League on Wednesday, shortly before forward Vladimir Tarasenko was traded to the Florida Panthers for a conditional fourth-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft and a third-round choice in the 2025 NHL Draft. ... Forsberg (lower body) and Korpisalo (illness) rejoined Ottawa after missing a 4-2 loss at the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday; Forsberg is expected to start Wednesday with Korpisalo starting at the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday. Sogaard, who made 36 saves Saturday, remains on the NHL roster as insurance. ... Tkachuk will play after not playing Saturday because of an an upper-body injury. ... Chartier was recalled from Belleville of the American Hockey League on Tuesday to replace MacEwen, a forward who was injured against Philadelphia. ...
