NHL debuts Game of the Week on Twitter

NEW YORK - The National Hockey League (NHL®) will launch its weekly Twitter game of the week tonight, with out-of-market live streaming of the Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Boston Bruins game at 7:30 p.m. ET. The game will be available for free to logged-in and logged-out Twitter users on mobile phones, tablets, PCs and connected devices in the United States via

While the NHL celebrates its 100-year history, it is continuously embracing innovative digital engagement tools to keep hockey fans connected to the game on and off the ice, including streaming live hockey games for fans on Twitter.

Tonight's game is the first of weekly, live streams of out-of-market NHL games Twitter will make available free as part of its partnership with MLBAM. Each game will be geo-restricted for U.S. Twitter users only for out-of-market NHL games. Each broadcast will be a simulcast of the home team's television broadcast.
