Islanders defeat Flyers in preseason opener

Joshua Ho-Sang, Michael Dal Colle each score in shutout win

Forward Joshua Ho-Sang had a goal and an assist, and J-F Berube and Christopher Gibson combined for 28 saves to lead the New York Islanders to a 3-0 shutout win against the Philadelphia Flyers at Barclays Center on Monday.

Berube and Gibson each made 14 saves and forward Shane Prince scored a power-play goal. Forward Michael Dal Colle also scored for New York.
Anthony Stolarz made 33 saves on 35 shots for the Flyers.
