WSH@MIN: Zuccarello clears puck with his head

Mats Zuccarello uses his head to clear the puck out of the Wild's zone in the opening minutes of the game

That's using your head, Mats Zuccarello.

The Minnesota Wild forward successfully cleared the puck from the zone by heading it out, soccer style, during the first period of their game against the Washington Capitals on Sunday.

Alex Galchenyuk was pressured by Capitals forward Ilya Kovalchuk and flipped the puck off the boards.

Zuccarello wanted to make sure the puck exited the zone and flipped his head up to help it get out.

That pregame soccer apparently has been paying off.
