The Metropolitan Division advanced to the final to face the Pacific Division.
Playing in his second All-Star game, Crosby scored off a pass from Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Justin Faulk at 6:26 of the second period to give the Metropolitan Division a 7-5 lead. Alex Ovechkin was given the second assist on the goal, and Crosby returned the favor when he set up Ovechkin for a tap-in goal with one second left.
John Tavares, Wayne Simmonds and Cam Atkinson each scored two goals for the Metropolitan Division. Tavares and Atkinson each had two assists for a game-high four points, tied with Nikita Kucherov and Vincent Trocheck of the Atlantic Division.
Seth Jones and Taylor Hall also scored for the Metropolitan Division. Auston Matthews, Erik Karlsson, Victor Hedman, Trocheck and Kucherov (2) scored for the Atlantic Division.
Atlantic Division captain Carey Price allowed three goals on six shots in the first period and Tuukka Rask took over and allowed six goals on 14 shots in the second. Sergei Bobrovsky and Braden Holtby each allowed three goals for the Metropolitan Division.
Though the game featured 16 goals, the highlight was probably provided by Bobrovsky, but it wasn't a save; in the first period, a puck was coming toward the Metropolitan Division zone and Brad Marchand of the Atlantic Division was chasing after it. Bobrovsky left his net, reached the puck first and spun around Marchand before making a pass to send the play in the other direction.
