Haula took a pass from James Neal at the top of the right face-off circle, skated in, and slid the puck under goalie Jonathan Quick from close range.
Vegas leads the best-of-7 series 2-0. Game 3 is at Los Angeles on Sunday (10:30 p.m. ET; NBCSN, CBC, TVAS, FS-W, ATTSN-RM).
"I think all of our guys did a great job," Haula said. "We just kept playing the same way, and that's what we've been talking about the whole time. I think we executed our game plan tonight.
"It's one of the best feelings in sports, I think, is finishing the game in that fashion. It was a long game, and we had a lot of guys who played a lot of minutes. It's rewarding to come out on top."

Alex Tuch scored his first Stanley Cup Playoff goal, and Marc-Andre Fleury made 29 saves for the Golden Knights, who became the fifth NHL team to win its first two postseason games (Anaheim Ducks, Florida Panthers, Pittsburgh Penguins and Kings).
Tuch was skating to the left of Neal and Haula on the rush before the winning goal.
"I was screaming for the puck," Tuch said. "I was open on the side, but I guess Erik was open too. James took both defensemen with him, and he made a great play to Erik. I was coming in late, so he probably didn't see me, but James made a great play."
Defenseman Paul LaDue scored his first NHL playoff goal and the first of the series for the Kings, who have lost consecutive games in the postseason for the first time since losing three in a row in the 2014 first round against the San Jose Sharks. Quick made 54 saves after making 27 in a 1-0 loss in Game 1.
"That's terrible," LaDue said. "Especially to work that hard and to go so far in a game, but I think we're feeling good. We're happy to be heading home, and we're going to come out strong."
Tuch scored on the power play at 14:47 of the first period to give the Golden Knights a 1-0 lead. He tapped in the puck from the right side of the net after Jonathan Marchessault's shot caromed off the end boards.
LaDue tied it 1-1 with a power-play goal at 15:55 of the second, scoring with a wrist shot from the right point.
The Kings played without defenseman Drew Doughty, who was suspended one game for a hit to the head against Golden Knights forward William Carrier in Game 1.
"Obviously, you don't want to be down 2-0, but we know we can play better and we're going to have to play better going home," Kings captain Anze Kopitar said.
The first overtime playoff game for Vegas was the longest in Los Angeles history (95:23).
