but Alex Burrows is expected to rejoin the Sens tonight after missing the past 10 games while he served a suspension for his actions against Taylor Hall back on February 6th. Burrows' availability comes at a good time for the Senators as Marian Gaborik has been ruled out for tonight's game after suffering a minor injury on Tuesday in Washington.
"It's just a little nagging thing," said head coach Guy Boucher about Gaborik. "It's not an injury so it's more precautionary because we don't want it to get worse."
It's been nearly a month since Burrows' last game so the coach spoke about managing expectations upon his return.
"The reality is he hasn't played in a long time," said Boucher. "He needs to keep things simple, bring what he brings and not try to overdo things."
There was some light line juggling at today's morning skate as Tom Pyatt skated alongside Matt Duchene and Mike Hoffman while Magnus Paajarvi moved down to fill Gaborik's spot on a line with Zack Smith and Ryan Dzingel. We also saw a slight change to the defence pairings as well as Ben Harpur and Thomas Chabot swapped partners.
