5️⃣ Things To Know For Today's Game

  1. The Kings begin a three-game roadtrip tonight, as they visit the Dallas Stars for the final time this season.
  2. Per Kings Head Coach Jim Hiller this morning, forwards Quinton Byfield and Phillip Danault will not play tonight in Dallas. Both players have the flu, per Hiller. Danault missed Saturday's game against Calgary and well and with Byfield joining him out of the lineup, the Kings will be without two of their top-three centers in tonight's game.
  3. After consecutive overtime defeats, the Kings will head back on the road where they've continually been one of the NHL's best teams this season. Los Angeles ranks tied for second in the NHL this season in road winning percentage (.735) and road points (25). Facing difficult opposition, they'll look to keep that form going with the trip this week.
  4. Goaltender Darcy Kuemper is expected to get the start tonight, coming off one of his finest performances of the 2025-26 season. Kuemper made 36 saves, one shy of a season high, and his play throughout the game against the Flames was the primary reason the Kings were able to force overtime and earn a point.
  5. Saturday's performance continued a long run of high-caliber play from Kuemper. Since November 1, Kuemper has a 1.86 goals-against average and a .929 save percentage, which rank second and fourth in the NHL respectively during that time. He's also fourth in the NHL in goals saved above average at 10.79 during that span.

Kempe has eight points in total (4-4-8) over his last seven games played and leads the Kings with 28 points this season.

Stars - Wyatt Johnston: Johnston led Dallas in the first game of the season versus the Kings, as he collected a goal and an assist in the overtime defeat.
