The Pittsburgh Penguins forward is facing discipline for elbowing Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Travis Sanheim on Friday.
The incident occurred in the Flyers zone at 14:32 of the second period during Philadelphia's 5-2 win at Wells Fargo Center. McCann received a two-minute penalty for elbowing at 14:40. Sanheim remained in the game.
The following grounds are being considered for supplemental discipline: elbowing. However, the Department of Player Safety retains the right to make adjustments to the infraction upon review.
