"Left the hospital yesterday," he wrote in the posts. "I've (spent) a lot of days away from my kids over the last 5-8 years because of hockey. The last 9 days felt way different. It literally warmed my heart pulling up to the driveway."
Lundqvist had the surgery for ascending aortic replacement at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland and said in a subsequent post that he would be staying there for a few days before going to New York City to continue his recovery and rehabilitation.
