F1 racers with Golden Knights split

Ahead of their big race this weekend, two Formula 1 drivers decided to take a pit stop at T-Mobile Arena on Wednesday.

Drivers Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant, who will both be competing in this week’s Las Vegas Grand Prix, got an inside look at the Vegas Golden Knights arena before their big race on Saturday.

The two drivers had custom jerseys waiting for them in the locker room and put them on for the tour.

Sargeant, a Florida Panthers fan, joked that he might get some hate for wearing the Golden Knights sweater.

“Well, I’m a Florida Panthers boy,” Sargeant said in a video posted by Williams Racing.

The Golden Knights mascot, Chance, pretended to be upset after Sargeant revealed his allegiance to his hometown team.

Then, as they posed for a photo with the mascot, Chance put Sargeant’s head in his mouth, seemingly still "upset" about Sargeant’s fandom.

Sargeant and Albon then took the arena tour and signed some autographs before calling it a day.

“It was honestly really, really cool,” Sargeant said in the video. “Thanks to the Vegas Golden Knights for all the kind gestures.”
