A Stars victory would give them their second five-game winning streak of the 2020 postseason; they also went 5-0 by winning Games 4, 5 and 6 against the Calgary Flames in the Western Conference First Round and Games 1 and 2 against the Colorado Avalanche in the second round.
Dallas can become the sixth team in the past 25 years with multiple winning streaks of five games or longer during one postseason, joining the Vegas Golden Knights (five games and five games) in 2018, the Anaheim Ducks (six games and five games) in 2003, the Detroit Red Wings (six games and five games) in 1997, the Avalanche (five game and five games) in 1996 and the New Jersey Devils (six games and six games) in 1995. The 1997 Red Wings, 1996 Avalanche and 1995 Devils each won the Stanley Cup that season.

Anton Khudobin can become the first goalie for the Stars/Minnesota North Stars with a five-game playoff winning streak. He would be the sixth goalie in the past 25 years with a win streak that long, joining Marc-Andre Fleury of the Golden Knights in 2018, Jean-Sebastien Giguere of Ducks in 2003, Mike Vernon of the Red Wings in 1997, Patrick Roy of the Avalanche in 1996, and Martin Brodeur of the Devils in 1995.
Being down in the Stanley Cup Final is nothing new for the Lightning. They have lost Game 1 in each of their three trips to the Final but won Game 2 in their previous two appearances, in 2004 against the Calgary Flames and in 2015 against the Chicago Blackhawks. The Lightning won their only Stanley Cup in 2004.
The Lightning are 5-0 this postseason following a loss and have outscored their opponents 16-9 in those games. Forwards Nikita Kucherov (seven points; one goal, six assists) and Brayden Point (six points; four goals, two assists) lead Tampa Bay in scoring in those five wins.
Goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy, who has played every minute of the postseason for the Lightning, is 5-0-0 with a 1.32 goals-against average and a .943 save percentage in games following a loss. The only goalie with as many wins following a loss is Khudobin (5-1).
Since the Stanley Cup Final went to a best-of-7 format in 1939, teams that take a 2-0 lead are 46-5 winning the series (90.2 percent). A team has overcome a 2-0 series deficit to win the Final twice in the past 48 years: the 2011 Boston Bruins against the Vancouver Canucks and the 2009 Pittsburgh Penguins against the Red Wings.
