, extending his personal winning streak to seven and giving the Flyers their eighth straight victory, the longest active winning streak in the NHL and the second-longest in the League this season; the Buffalo Sabres won 10 in a row from Nov. 8-27.

It also was the 2,000th win for the Flyers since entering the NHL in 1967; Philadelphia has more victories than any non-Original six team. The Flyers reached the milestone in 4,017 games, the second-fewest in NHL history behind the Montreal Canadiens, who got win No. 2,000 in their 3,767th game,

Hart became the fourth goaltender in NHL history to win at least seven consecutive games before his 21st birthday. The 20-year-old is one shy of matching Jocelyn Thibault of the Quebec Nordiques, who won eight straight from March 6-26, 1995, for the longest such streak in NHL history. He is also the fourth rookie goaltender in Flyers history to win at least seven consecutive games, joining Pelle Lindbergh (9-0-0 in 1982-83), Bob Froese (8-0-0 in 1982-83) and Pete Peeters (7-0-0 in 1979-80). There have been 17 rookie goaltenders in NHL history who have won at least eight consecutive games; the last to do so was Martin Jones of the Los Angeles Kings in 2013-14 (8-0-0).

Hart is 10-5-1 with a 2.48 goals-against average and .925 save percentage in 16 games since being called up by the Flyers from Lehigh Valley of the American Hockey League on Dec. 17. Since 1990-91, the only goaltenders to have more wins before age 21 are Steve Mason (33), Thibault (28), Carey Price (24), Dan Blackburn (20) and Jim Carey (18).
Philadelphia, which went 0-6-2 from Dec. 27-Jan. 8, became the 12th team in NHL history to have a winning streak and a winless streak (regulation loss, overtime/shootout loss or tie) of at least eight games in the same season. Nine of the previous 11 reached the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Stars outlast Coyotes in frantic third period

The Dallas Stars trailed by a goal to start the third period, scored three times in 1:11 to take the lead, then allowed two goals by the Arizona Coyotes goals in 61 seconds before center Tyler Seguin scored with 7:32 remaining for
a 5-4 victory
at American Airlines Center.

Seguin's fifth game-winning goal of the season gave Dallas its fifth straight win, the second-longest streak in the NHL behind the Flyers. The last time the Stars won at least six in a row was March 2-13, 2012 (6-0-0).
Dallas is 12-0-0 against the Coyotes at home, dating to March 20, 2012; it's the fourth-longest active regular-season home winning streak against one opponent in the NHL. The only longer active runs: The Pittsburgh Penguins are 18-0-0 at home against the Winnipeg Jets/Atlanta Thrashers, dating to March 24, 2007; the New York Rangers are 16-0-0 at Madison Square Garden against the Carolina Hurricanes dating to Jan. 5, 2011; and the Flyers are 15-0-0 at home against the Chicago Blackhawks dating to March 31, 1998.

Zibanejad joins short list with NHL elite

to the Los Angeles Kings to become the ninth player in NHL history to have a point on at least 10 consecutive team goals. Four players have had a point on more than 10 in a row; Jaromir Jagr set the record by having a point on 15 straight goals by the Penguins from Oct. 16-Nov. 4, 1999 (seven goals, eight assists).
Zibanejad became the second player to have such a run this season; Blake Wheeler of the Jets had one goal and nine assists on 10 consecutive Winnipeg goals from Nov. 1-9. He is the third to factor on at least nine straight team goals in 2018-19; center Connor McDavid had four goals and five assists on the Edmonton Oilers' first nine goals of the season from Oct. 6-16.

In addition, Zibanejad has established NHL career single-season highs in assists (31) and points (52). With 30 games remaining, he's six goals shy of matching his NHL career best of 27, set in 72 games last season. Zibanejad's 136 points (62 goals, 74 assists) in 180 games trails Mats Zuccarello (141 points in 198 games) for most points on the Rangers since he joined New York to start the 2016-17 season.
