The Ducks posted another comeback win last night vs. Dallas. Each of Anaheim's last eight wins (since Black Friday, Nov. 23) have featured third-period rallies (five times the team trailed in the third, three other occasions the team was tied).
In that stretch, the Ducks have won games in which they:
- Scored GTG with 17 seconds left in regulation (Nick Ritchie, Nov. 23 vs. EDM; won 2-1 in OT on Rickard Rakell goal) - Scored GWG with 1:28 left in regulation (Ritchie, Nov. 28 @ FLA; won 3-2) - Scored GTG with 3:50 left in regulation (Pontus Aberg, Nov. 30 @ CAR; won 2-1 in OT on Ryan Getzlaf goal) - Became first road team in the NHL since Mar. 9, 1999 (COL @ FLA) to erase four-goal deficit (5-1) and win in regulation (Dec. 2 @ WSH; won 6-5)

The Ducks improved their record when trailing after two periods to 6-8-2, marking the second-most such wins in the NHL (Calgary, 7). Anaheim also has outscored its opposition 16-4 in the third period and overtime in its last eight games.
The Ducks share the league lead with a 7-1-0 mark in their last eight games (TB and EDM also 7-1-0) and have gone 9-2-0 in their last 11 contests (T-2nd to only TB, 10-1-0).
Brandon Montour had four points (1-3=4) last night, all in the third period. He became the first NHL defenseman to record four points in the THIRD period in 12 years (Dan Boyle of TB, Dec. 23, 2006) and first blueliner to notch four points in ANY period since 2013 (Rostislav Klesla of PHX, Mar. 28, 2013). Montour also tied the club record for points in a period, becoming the fourth Ducks player and first defenseman to do so (Ryan Getzlaf, Vaclav Prospal, Paul Kariya three times). Only Montour and Prospal have recorded four points in a THIRD period. Montour also tied the club record with a +5 rating last night.
