Hall fined for boarding in Devils game against Sabres

Assessed $5,000 penalty for incident involving Okposo in first period Tuesday

NEW YORK - New Jersey Devils forward Taylor Hall has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for boarding Buffalo Sabres forward Kyle Okposo during NHL Game No. 762 in Buffalo on Tuesday, Jan. 30, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 7:40 of the first period. Hall was assessed a minor penalty for boarding.

The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
