Sammy Blais (4:47) and Pat Maroon (13:38) each scored a power-play goal in the first period to give the Blues a 2-0 lead. Robert Bortuzzo made it 3-0 with an empty-net goal with 1:52 remaining in the third. Sergei Bobrovsky started for the Blue Jackets and made 14 saves on 16 shots. He was relieved by Brad Thiessen, who made the save on all 10 shots he faced.
