Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Trevor van Riemsdyk is out with a concussion. Van Riemsdyk fell into the end boards during a season-opening 5-4 win against the Minnesota Wild on Saturday. Hurricanes coach Bill Peters said van Riemsdyk also has knee and ankle injuries from the fall.

Blue Jackets goalie Sergei Bobrovsky made 29 saves in a 5-0 win against the New York Islanders on Oct. 6 for his 20th shutout to pass Steve Mason on the Blue Jackets' all-time list. He is expected to start against the Hurricanes.
Hurricanes forward Sebastian Aho had the primary assists on the tying and go-ahead goals in the third period against the Wild on Saturday.
