Jakub Voracek had a goal and two assists for the Columbus Blue Jackets in a 5-3 preseason win against the Buffalo Sabres at KeyBank Center in Buffalo on Monday.
Voracek, who was acquired in a trade with the Philadelphia Flyers on July 24, scored his first goal of the preseason on the power play to make it 1-0 at 3:31 of the first period. Patrik Laine and Oliver Bjorkstrand each had a goal and an assist, and Zach Werenski had two assists for Columbus. Joonas Korpisalo made 17 saves before being replaced at the start of the third period by Daniil Tarasov, who allowed two goals on 10 shots. Casey Mittelstadt scored twice, Jeff Skinner had two assists, and Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen made 25 saves for Buffalo.
