COLUMBUS -- Josh Anderson broke a tie at 11:14 of the third period to help the Columbus Blue Jackets to a 3-2 win against the Chicago Blackhawks at Nationwide Arena on Saturday.

Anderson, demoted to the fourth line before the game, scored his Blue Jackets-leading 18th goal from low in the left face-off circle past Anton Forsberg.
The Blue Jackets (31-26-5) are two points ahead of the New York Islanders for the second wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs from the Eastern Conference despite having scored two or fewer goals in the previous four games and 12 of the previous 17.

Sergei Bobrovsky made 31 saves for Columbus.
"Bobrovsky] was outstanding to give us a chance," Blue Jackets coach John Tortorella said. "He's going to be because we're still not where we want to be. That's how [Bobrovsky
and
Tomas Jurco
scored for the Blackhawks. Forsberg, acquired from Columbus in the June 23, 2017, trade that sent Brandon Saad to Chicago for Artemi Panarin, made 26 saves in his first start against the Blue Jackets.
The fourth line gave the Blackhawks a 1-0 lead 1:28 into the game when Kampf deflected a shot by Ryan Hartman past Bobrovsky inside the left post for his third goal, the first in 12 games for the rookie.
Atkinson made it 1-1 at 17:43 with his first power-play goal of the season; he scored 10 last season.

"It's huge for our power play," Atkinson said. "It started with [defenseman Seth Jones] keeping it in [the zone]. That was critical to getting that goal."
Jurco gave the Blackhawks a 2-1 lead at 9:20 of the second period with a shot over the glove of Bobrovsky off a pass from Kane. It was Jurco's first goal in 12 games since being recalled from Rockford of the American Hockey League.

Dubois scored his 14th goal to make it 2-2 at 14:30 of the second after Panarin took the puck through the neutral zone down the left side and slipped a pass to him between two Blackhawks.
"As soon as he got it, I knew we was going to get it to me so I had to be ready," Dubois said. "It was a really nice pass."
The goal came 28 seconds after Chicago's
Vinnie Hinostroza
hit the post for the second time in the period.
"If you're hitting the post that means you're getting the chances," Hinostroza said. "I beat the goalie twice and hit the post both times. That's going to happen. That's hockey. I just tried not to be frustrated."
After Anderson's goal, the Blackhawks were unable to beat Bobrovsky.

"It was tough one to give up in that situation," Chicago coach Joel Quenneville said. "I thought we had three good periods. We had some pace to our game. We had some possession, [and were] dangerous in a lot of situations."
