Goalie J-F Berube agreed to a two-year contract with the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday.
Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed, but TVA Sports reported it is worth $1.5 million, an average annual value of $750,000.

Berube, who turns 26 on July 13, was 3-2-2 with a 3.42 goals-against average and .889 save percentage in 14 games (seven starts) with the New York Islanders last season. He is 6-4-3 with a 3.11 GAA and .900 save percentage in 21 games (13 starts) the past two seasons with New York.
The Los Angeles Kings selected Berube in the fourth round (No. 95) of the 2009 NHL Draft. The Islanders signed him to a one-year, $675,000 contract on July 5, 2016.
The Blackhawks also agreed to terms with defenseman Jordan Oesterle on a two-year contract.
