Svechnikov

Andrei Svechnikov had a goal and an assist in his NHL debut to help the Carolina Hurricanes to a 4-1 win against the Tampa Bay Lightning at Amalie Arena on Tuesday.

Svechnikov, the No. 2 pick in the 2018 NHL Draft, scored a power-play goal to make it 4-1 at 7:11 of the third period.
Lucas Wallmark also had a goal and an assist, and Michal Cajkovsky and Valentin Zykov scored for the Hurricanes. Petr Mrazek, who signed a one-year contract with Carolina on July 1, made nine saves in 30:10 in his Hurricanes debut. He was replaced by Alex Nedeljkovic, who made seven saves on eight shots.
Mathieu Joseph scored on the power play for the Lightning to cut it to 3-1 at 4:38 of the third period. Andrei Vasilevskiy played the whole game and made 31 saves.
