The transition from skates to segways was a pretty natural one for Washington Capitals goalie Braden Holtby and his teammates.

Holtby, Nate Schmidt and Matt Niskanen took four fans for a trip through the nation's capital on the two-wheel vehicles and dialed up the entertainment during the trip.

Holtby and Schmidt are courteous hosts even as they appear to forget the name of the adult male in the group shortly after their initial meeting.

"What's his name?" Schmidt asks Holtby.

"Wilhelm Von Snoshenburger," Holtby responds before admitting he had "no idea."

The players seemed pretty comfy on the vehicles, even though Holtby nearly rear ends Schmidt after a mid-tour race.

The fans were winners of an auction during the Capitals Casino Night on Nov. 29. The Capitals signed autographs and posed for pictures with the family as part of the day of a lifetime.
