The Washington Capitals were partying like it was 1924.

The Capitals had a wild celebration at their team Halloween party in support of the Washington Nationals' first World Series championship, clinched with a 6-2 win in Game 7 against the Houston Astros on Wednesday.

The Capitals hooted and hollered, sprayed Champagne on each other, and did the now-famous "Baby Shark" dance to celebrate Washington's first baseball championship since the Washington Senators won 95 years ago. Captain Alex Ovechkin recorded the scene on Instagram, then received a replica championship trophy as "We are the Champions" played in the background.

The Capitals, who won the Stanley Cup in 2018, supported

and

during their recent championship runs. Forwards Tom Wilson and T.J. Oshie tweeted congratulations and also offered their baseball brethren some tips on how to celebrate.
