Flames provide Victoria Park arena proposal to Calgarians

CALGARY-- The Calgary Flames today provided their Victoria Park Arena proposal to Calgarians.
After two years of discussions, the Flames see absolutely no basis upon which a new agreement can be achieved with the City and have concluded that there is no point to continue the pursuit of a new arena in Calgary. Many, including the Flames, believe Calgary is a terrific place for NHL hockey and certainly has great fans.

Going forward, all efforts and energy of the Flames will be focused on the primary passion of providing the best sports and entertainment for their fans and citizens.
