The forward was injured Feb. 20 in a collision with Dallas Stars forward Luke Glendening in the first period of a 3-1 win.
Ladd has scored nine points (six goals, three assists) in 42 games this season, his first with the Coyotes. He was acquired in a trade with the New York Islanders on July 17.
Ladd did not play in the NHL last season, and played one game in the American Hockey League. He played four NHL games for the Islanders the season before, and had surgery to repair a torn ACL he sustained March 24, 2019. He played 26 games for New York in 2018-19.
Arizona (13-33-4), which is last in the Central Division, hosts the Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday.
