Brad Marchand of Bruins fined for dangerous trip

Boston forward penalized $10,000 for incident with Red Wings defenseman Niklas Kronwall

NEW YORK - Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand has been fined $10,000, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for a dangerous trip against Detroit Red Wings defenseman Niklas Kronwall during NHL Game No. 714 in Boston on Tuesday, Jan. 24, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 12:27 of the first period.

The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
