THE NEW GUY
After arriving In Winnipeg late on Sunday night, Nino Niederreiter will make his Jets debut tonight with a practice and a morning skate with his new teammates behind him. Niederreiter seemed genuinely excited about the opportunity to join a team that is sitting in a playoff spot during his media availability on Monday afternoon. He was skating with Pierre-Luc Dubois and Nikolaj Ehlers before Dubois left Monday's practice and is now a game time decision. If Dubois doesn't play tonight, Adam Lowry will jump into his spot and Winnipeg will play with 11 forwards and seven defenceman. Niederreiter will also play on the first power play unit with Mark Scheifele, Blake Wheeler, Kyle Connor and Josh Morrissey.
"He's hard to play against," said Rick Bowness.
"We need that right now."

SCHEDULE GETS TOUGHER
Winnipeg will play another playoff team tonight with the Kings sitting in second spot in the Pacific Division. This is the sixth straight contest against a team who is sitting in a playoff spot and the Jets will face the Oilers back-to-back this weekend. The Jets survived an onslaught in the first period against Los Angeles back in October to leave Crypto.com Arena with two points. The Kings have three lines that can score and make it tough to move through the neutral zone.
