LOWRY EFFECT
Adam Lowry played a solid game in his return to the Jets lineup on Monday and helped boost the Winnipeg penalty kill against the Senators. He threw a couple big hits as well but because of the large amounts of special teams time, the Lowry, Mason Appleton and Andrew Copp unit didn't get a lot of time together. They will be important part of a Jets victory tonight.

HELP FROM THE POWER PLAY
There are plenty of places to start with if the Jets are going to get out of this slump. The power play truly stands out especially with the loss of Nikolaj Ehlers. The Jets have just one power play goal in their last 11-man advantages including going 0-6 in the latest loss in Ottawa. The Jets have gone three consecutive games without a power play goal for the second time this season
PERFECTION NEEDED?
Arguably, the Jets played the most complete game of their seven-game slide on Monday night, but they were not rewarded for their efforts. The real key for the team will be to remain on course even when things don't go well in the early moments of the game at the Saddledome this evening.
"It feels like we have to be perfect to win a game," said Blake Wheeler on Monday night.
"That's how it's going for us right now."
FLAMES PLAYING WELL
Calgary has to run the table winning pretty much all of their remaining six games to even entertain having a shot at the playoffs. Even after losing to the Edmonton 4-1 in their last game, they've put together a decent 6-4 record in their last ten battles. Over the last ten, Darryl Sutter has his group excelling in puck possession and generating high danger scoring chances (88-54 ratio).
