WINNIPEG, Nov. 16, 2023 – The Winnipeg Jets players’ partners launch two community focused fundraising initiatives this month with their Hockey Fights Cancer (HFC) Bears and holiday ornaments in support of CancerCare Manitoba Foundation and Toba Centre respectively.

HFC Bears – Nov. 28

Several of the Jets’ wives and girlfriends spent a special afternoon at Build-a-Bear Workshop with this year’s five HFC ambassadors, creating stuffed bears to contribute to the cause. The partners spent time helping each ambassador make a unique keepsake bear before turning their focus on building bears that will be available for sale at the Nov. 28 HFC game vs. the Dallas Stars. Seventy bears will be available, each sporting a Winnipeg Jets hoodie and a commemorative 2023 HFC pin. This marks the second year that bears have been sold at the HFC game as part of the initiative and they are again expected to sell out quickly.

Holiday ornaments – Nov. 30

The Jets partners’ holiday ornament fundraiser has been an ongoing tradition over many seasons. This year’s blue logoed ornaments will raise funds for Toba Centre for Children & Youth and their work to support victims of child abuse and their families.

All 800 mystery autographed ornaments will be sold for $25 each at the Thursday, Nov. 30 Jets vs. Oilers game. Four special silver ornaments will be unsigned, winning the purchaser a post-game meet and greet that night with one of Adam Lowry, Nate Schmidt, Kyle Connor, or Nino Niederreiter. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to the game as ornaments are anticipated to sell out before puck drop.

The next partners initiative will be Love Struck Pucks in support of the True North Youth Foundation on Wednesday, Feb. 14 vs. San Jose.
