• The Ducks are in the thick of a wild card race in the Western Conference. Anaheim (59 points) is two points back of the Edmonton Oilers (61 points) for the second Wild Card spot, while also contending with the Dallas Stars, who also have 59 points, but also three games in hand on the Ducks.
• The Ducks are coming in off a 4-1 loss to the LA Kings on Friday night. Troy Terry scored the lone goal for the Ducks. Anaheim is 4-4-2 in their last 10 games.
• Terry leads the Ducks with 27 goals and 45 points this season. Terry has smashed his previous career-highs in goals (previously 7), assists (previously 13) and points (previously 20) as he leads the Ducks' youth movement. The 24-year-old also has seven game-winning goals this season, more than double the next closest Duck, and tied for second in the NHL.
• Rookie Trevor Zegras is second on the Ducks with 39 points (13G, 26A). Zegras - who wowed the hockey world with his over-the-net pass to Sonny Milano against Buffalo - is second in NHL rookie scoring, trailing only Detroit's Lucas Raymond. Prior to making a splash in the NHL, Zegras won a gold medal at the 2021 World Juniors and recorded 18 points in seven games. Zegras also played one year at Boston University (2019-20) with fellow Islanders' prospect Logan Cockerill.
Zegras had a three-game point streak (1G, 5A) snapped vs LA on Friday.
• Massapequa native Sonny Milano is third in Ducks scoring with 29 points (11G, 18A), which is also a new career-high.
• Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf is enjoying a bounce-back year offensively with 28 points (3G, 25A) in 44 games after posting 17 points (5G, 12A) in 48 games last year. Getzlaf's 18:51 TOI/GP leads all Ducks forwards.
• The Ducks have scored six shorthanded goals this season.
• Anaheim hired Pat Verbeek as the team's General Manager on Feb. 3. Verbeek is the sixth General Manager in Ducks history, replacing Bob Murray who resigned on Nov. 10.
• Shortly after hiring Verbeek, the Ducks named Hall of Famer Scott Niedermayer as a special advisor on Feb. 8.
