Final

The New York Islanders four-game winning streak came to an end on Tuesday night, as the Islanders fell 3-2 to the Dallas Stars at American Airlines Center.
JG Pageau and Brock Nelson scored for the Islanders, but it was not enough to counteract goals from Marian Studenic, Tyler Seguin and Radek Faksa (SHG).
Dallas outshot the Islanders 40-21 on Tuesday night and were able to hold off a late Isles push.
Semyon Varlamov stopped 37 of 40 in the loss, while Jake Oettinger stopped 19 of 21 in the win.

THE SCORING:
1st Period:
7:29 - DAL 1, NYI 0 - Marian Studenic opens the scoring, depositing a loose puck with Semyon Varlamov out of position after some contact with Jamie Benn. The Islanders lose a challenge for goalie interference, but kill off the ensuing penalty. Miro Heiskanen and Benn with the assists.
11:47 - NYI 1, DAL 1 - JG Pageau keeps, shoots and scores on a two-on-one rush to tie the score 1-1. The goal is Pageau's fourth in his last four periods. Noah Dobson and Josh Bailey with the assists.
19:13 - DAL 2, NYI 1 - Tyler Seguin gives the Stars a lead heading into the intermission, as a Joel Hanley shot deflects off the Stars forward and past Varlamov.
2nd Period:
0:31 - NYI 2, DAL 2 - Brock Nelson keeps, shoots and scores on a three-on-one rush to start the second period. The goal is Nelson's team-leading 33rd of the season. Dobson picks up the lone assist.
10:29 - DAL 3, NYI 2 - Radek Faksa goes to the net and deflects a Luke Glendening centering feed past Varlamov for a shorthanded goal. The shorthanded goal is the seventh allowed by the Islanders this season.
3rd Period:
No scoring.

With an assist on Pageau's goal, Bailey recorded his 545th point as an Islander, moving ahead of John Tonelli and into sole possession of eighth on the franchise points list. Bailey has 170 goals and 375 assists in his Islanders career... Dobson reached the 30-assist and 40-point marks for the first time in his career...
