19:03 - EDM 1, NYI 0 -Cody Ceci's long-range shot beat a screened Ilya Sorokin to give Edmonton a 1-0 lead. Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl picked up the assists.
Second Period:
10:17 - EDM 2, NYI 0 -Zach Hyman's snipe beat Ilya Sorokin glove side to double the Oilers' lead 2-0.
15:04 - EDM 2, NYI 1, PPG -Anthony Beauvillier wired a wrist shot past Mike Smith's glove on the power play to cut the Islanders' deficit down 2-1. Ryan Pulock and Josh Bailey tallied the assists.
Third Period:
9:14 - EDM 3, NYI 1, PPG - Jesse Puljujarvi made a diving effort in the slot to beat Ilya Sorokin and extended Edmonton's lead to 3-1. Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl registered the assists.
