The New York Islanders defeated the Ottawa Senators 4-2 on Monday.
Oliver Wahlstrom (PPG), Noah Dobson, Ottawa native Jean-Gabriel Pageau (PPG) and Brock Nelson (ENG) scored for the Islanders, while Drake Batherson and Claude Giroux scored for the Senators. The Islanders relied heavily on their special teams, scoring two goals on the power play and spending 12 minutes on the penalty kill.
The Islanders have now won nine of their last 11 games.
