FINAL-win

The New York Islanders got back into the win column on Tuesday night, skating to a 4-1 win oer the Ottawa Senators at UBS Arena.
Nick Holden opened the scoring for Ottawa 1:56 into the game, but the Islanders responded with four-unanswered goals from Anthony Beauvillier (PPG), Oliver Wahlstrom, Mathew Barzal and Adam Pelech.
With the win, the Islanders get back to NHL .500 and beat the Senators for the eighth time in nine games. In all eight wins, the Islanders have scored at least four goals.

1st Period:
1:56 - OTT 1, NYI 0 - Nick Holden gets a shot up high on Ilya Sorokin and the puck rolls up on his shoulder, off his back and in. Tyler Ennis and Brady Tkachuk with the assists.
18:07 - NYI 1, OTT 1 PPG - Anthony Beauvillier slides a rebound through Anton Forsberg's pads during a flurry of activity around the net. Beauvillier pots a rebound off a Brock Nelson shot with Zach Parise also taking a whack.
2nd Period:
8:42 - NYI 2, OTT 1 - Oliver Wahlstrom backhands a Zdeno Chara rebound five-hole on Forsberg for his second goal in as many games.
15:50 - NYI 3, OTT 1 - Scott Mayfield keeps the puck in at the goal line dishes a pass across the zone to Mathew Barzal who one-times the puck short-side on Forsberg.
3rd Period:
7:44 - NYI 4, OTT 1 - Mayfield dishes to Adam Pelech, who cuts across the net and roofs a backhander past Forsberg. All Star.

NOTEBOOK:

Ryan Pulock returned to the lineup for the first time since Nov. 15 (25 games) playing 15:08 TOI with three shots on a pairing with Andy Greene... Brock Nelson extended his point streak to four games (1G, 4A)... Barzal has goals in three of his last four games and four total points (3G, 1A) in his last four games... Lee has assists in back-to-back games... Scott Mayfield recorded two assists in the win and was named the game's first star... JG Pageau won seven-of-10 faceoffs on Tuesday...

GOALTENDING MATCHUP:

Ilya Sorokin stopped 26 of 27 in the win.
Anton Forsberg stopped 26 of 30 in the loss.

SPECIAL TEAMS:

The Islanders power play went 1-for-2, while the penalty kill was 1-for-1. Pelech scored during four-on-four play.
