The New York Islanders orchestrated their second third period comeback in as many nights with a 4-3 win over the New York Rangers on Tuesday at Madison Square Garden.
The Islanders came into the third period down 3-1, just as they did on Monday against the Calgary Flames, and they once again pulled out a 4-3 victory with a strong third period effort.
Kyle Palmieri, Adam Pelech, Brock Nelson and Anders Lee scored for the Islanders, and Filip Chytil, Chris Kreider and Vincent Trocheck scored for the Rangers.
With the win, the Islanders have won two straight games and seven of their last eight contests. They are also 2-0-0 against the Rangers this season.
