Bo Horvat got a hearty welcome at UBS Arena on Tuesday night, but more importantly, the New York Islanders got their fourth-straight win.
The Islanders beat the Kraken 4-0 on Tuesday, scoring more than two goals for the first time in nine games. Tuesday's win also marked the fourth-straight game the Islanders had held their opponent to one goal or fewer.
Horvat scored in his home debut, complimenting goals from Simon Holmstrom and Zach Parise, as well as Samuel Bolduc's first NHL tally. In the process, the Isles won four games in a row for the first time since Nov. 21-26.
Ilya Sorokin stopped all 31 shots he faced, recording his second straight shutout. Sorokin is now up to five shutouts on the season, 15 in his career and the two-game clean sheet marked his first since he blanked Arizona and Vegas on consecutive nights on Oct. 23-24, 2021.
