Rapid Recap: Islanders 4, Flyers 3 OT

Noah Dobson scored the OT winner with 7.3 seconds left on the clock, as the New York Islanders skated to a 4-3 OT win over the Philadelphia Flyers at Wells Fargo Center.
Josh Bailey (1G, 2A) led the team with a three-point night, while Dobson, Casey Cizikas (SHG) and Anders Lee scored for the Islanders.
Scott Laughton (SHG), Owen Tippett and Tanner Laczynski scored for the Flyers.
With the win, the Islanders impove to 2-2-0 during the preseason.

2:09 - PHI 1, NYI 0 SHG - A cross-ice pass gets picked off, leading to a shorthanded breakaway for Scott Laughton, who pulls a backhand deke before sliding the puck five-hole on Ilya Sorokin.
16:13 - NYI 1, PHI 1 PPG - Josh Bailey stuffs in a loose puck after Troy Grosenick can't cover a Kieffer Bellows shot during a scramble around the net. JG Pageau with the secondary assist.
18:22 - NYI 2, PHI 1 SHG - Casey Cizikas outmuscles Cam York and chips a shot five-hole on Grosenick. Bailey and Adam Pelech with the assists.
3rd Period:
5:05 - NYI 2, PHI 2 - Owen Tippett buries on a two-on-one rush, finishing a cross-ice pass from Kevin Hayes. Laughton picks up the secondary assist, chipping the puck to Hayes while battling with Alexander Romanov.
8:53 - PHI 3, NYI 2 - Tanner Laczynski is sprung on a breakaway after the puck gets around Grant Hutton at the Isles blue line and snaps a shot five-hole on Sorokin.
12:19 - NYI 3, PHI 3 - Adam Pelech's shot is first deflected by Brock Nelson and then is deflected again by Anders Lee to tie the score in the third period.
OT
19:52 - NYI 4, PHI 3 PPG - Noah Dobson one times a feed from Anthony Beauvillier blocker side past Grosenick for the OT winner.

NOTEBOOK:

The Islanders have allowed two shorthanded goals in four preseason games... Ross Johnston and Ronnie Attard dropped the gloves for a second period fight... Kieffer Bellows led the Islanders with six hits... The Islanders went 39-26 in the faceoff dot (60%). Brock Nelson won 12-of-18 draws, JG Pageau won 11-of-18, while Cizikas won 10-of-14... Alexander Romanov led the Islanders with six shots on goal.
