Rapid Recap: Islanders 2, Flyers 1

The New York Islanders scored their first win of the preseason on Sunday, skating to a 2-1 win over the Phildelphia Flyers at UBS Arena.
Kyle Palmieri (PPG) and Scott Mayfield scored for the Islanders, while Tony DeAngelo netted a power-play goal for the Flyers.

3:26 - PHI 1, NYI 0 PPG - Tony DeAngelo opens the scoring on a five-on-three power play for the Flyers. Morgan Frost fed the defenseman from below the goal line, with Tyson Foerster picking up the secondary assist.
10:15 - NYI 1, PHI 1 PPG - The Islanders score their first power-play goal of the preseason, with Kyle Palmieri notching the score at one. Brock Nelson misses the net on the first shot, but his rebound kicks off the end boards and out to Palmieri on the other side, who tucks it past a diving Samuel Errson. Mathew Barzal gets the secondary assist.
15:18 - NYI 2, PHI 1 - Scott Mayfield scores the Islanders second goal of the game, putting a seeing-eye wrister through traffic and ultimately Errson. Alexander Romanov picks up an assist.
3rd Period:
No scoring.
