The New York Islanders were shut out by the Carolina Hurricanes 3-0 on Saturday night at UBS Arena.
Paul Stastny, Jesperi Kotkaniemi and Jordan Staal scored for the Hurricanes, while the Islanders were blanked for the third time this season.
Pyotr Kochetkov stopped 16 shots for the shutout. The Islanders' 16 shots on goal marked a season low.
The loss evened the season series between the teams at one game apiece. The Islanders have now lost four straight home games to the Hurricanes.
