The New York Islanders' four-game winning streak came to an on Tuesday night, as the Isles fell 3-1 to the Philadelphia Flyers at Wells Fargo Center.
Noah Dobson's power-play goal gave the Islanders an early lead, but the Flyers responded with a pair of goals from Travis Sanheim (SHG) and Kevin Hayes, who also added an empty-netter, and rode a 23-save performance from Carter Hart the rest of the way.
In the process, the Flyers snapped their 10-game winless streak, while the Islanders dropped to 13-3-2in their last 18 games against Philadelphia.

3:12 - NYI 1, PHI 0 PPG - The Islanders move the puck around on a five-on-three power play, culminating in a Noah Dobson one-timer that beats Carter Hart. Mathew Barzal and Brock Nelson with the assists.
4:37 - PHI 1, NYI 1 SHG - On a delayed penalty call, the Flyers rush the puck up the ice. Ryan Pulock blocks the initial cross-ice pass, but can't retain possession and the puck kicks out to Travis Sanheim, who chips a shot over Ilya Sorokin. Noah Cates and Lukas Sedlak with the assists.
9:45 - PHI 2, NYI 1 - Kevin Hayes beats Sorokin with a wrister after the puck squirts free during a contested face-of. Sedlak with the lone assist.

19:26 - PHI 3, NYI 1 - Hayes ices the game with a long-range empty-netter.

Brock Nelson played in his 700th regular season game, becoming the 10th player in franchise history to play 700 games with the club... With an assist, Nelson extended his point streak to three games (2G, 1A)... Josh Bailey was a late scratch, sitting out with an upper-body injury despite taking warmups... Ross Johnston drew into the lineup for the first time since Nov. 17 and fought Nick Deslauriers eight seconds into the game... Matt Martin fought Zack MacEwen seven seconds into the game, recording his 100th career fight... With an assist, Mathew Barzal upped his league-leading assist total to 24... Carter Hart stopped 23 of 24 in the win.
