Ryan Pulock is out 4-6 weeks with a lower-body injury, the team announced on Wednesday.
Pulock suffered the injury in Monday's 4-1 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning and missed Tuesday's 6-1 loss to the Florida Panthers. Prior to missing Tuesday's game, Pulock had played 263-consecutive games, the Islanders ironman record for a defenseman.
Pulock has two assists in 12 games this season and leads the Islanders with 34 blocked shots. Pulock is tied with Adam Pelech for the team lead with an average of 21:07 TOI/GP this season and his 25 hits pace all Islanders defensemen.
