New York Islanders President and General Manager Lou Lamoriello provided some updates on the team's injured players on Tuesday morning.
Leo Komarov, who has been out with an illness and neck injury since Oct. 19, has resumed skating and could join the team within the week, per Lamoriello. It's unclear when Komarov suffered the neck injury, but Lamoriello said it was a combination of the two that's kept the forward out for the past six games.
Matt Martin, out with a lower-body injury since Oct. 25, has resumed skating, but will be out at least another week to 10 days. Tom Kuhnhackl, also out with a lower-body injury since Oct. 25, has not resumed skating. Both Martin and Kuhnhackl were initially slated to miss four-to-six weeks.Nick Leddy is considered day to day with a lower-body injury.
