Cal Clutterbuck, Matt Martin, Zach Parise and Robin Salo cleared COVID-19 protocol and skated with the New York Islanders at the team's morning skate on Thursday.
Martin and Salo were expected to clear protocol on Dec. 29, as it marked 10 days since the two players were placed in protocol on Dec. 19. Clutterbuck and Parise were placed in protocol on Dec. 26.
Anthony Beauvillier, Brock Nelson and Oliver Wahlstrom are all still in COVID-19 protocol. As of Dec. 29, the NHL and NHLPA agreed to modified COVID-19 protocol, which "will reduce the isolation period after a positive test from 10 days to five days for fully vaccinated Players who meet the required conditions."

Sebastian Aho was placed in COVID-19 protocol. Cole Bardreau, Austin Czarnik and Michael Dal Colle were recalled from the team's taxi squad. Grant Hutton was recalled from Bridgeport.
Bardreau has six points (4G, 2A) in 10 games for Bridgeport this season. Bardreau played 10 games with the Islanders during the 2019-20 season with two points (1G, 1A) over that span.
Dal Colle has six points (4G, 2A) in eight games for Bridgeport this season. Czarnik has three points (1G, 2A) in six games for the Islanders this season, as well as 15 points (6G, 9A) in 20 games for Bridgeport.
Hutton has nine points (5G, 4A) in 19 games this season and the defenseman also played five games for the Islanders from Nov. 20 to Dec. 2.
Kyle Palmieri (lower body) was placed on the team's IR list (retro Dec. 16).
