I always wanted to become a special education teacher so that I could support the students who often struggle the most in school. It's always my goal to help my students see that they have so many unique strengths and talents to share, even if learning can sometimes feel tough for them. I want my students to come out of 4th grade with a growth mindset, knowing that challenges only make them stronger! What is your favorite part of the Future Goals™ program? How do you see STEM in the game of hockey? My favorite part of the Future Goals program is that the math and science skills the students are learning in my classroom come to life in an exciting and engaging way! My students were able to develop more of their scientific and critical thinking skills using the program too. This year we spent a lot of time learning about angle measurements and area/perimeter, and my students were so excited to explore these concepts by playing interactive games. They also loved seeing that the skills they were learning in 4th grade are used in the real world by people they look up to! Who is your favorite NHL® player and why? Mathew Barzal because he is young, tenacious, and a great example to his teammates! If you played hockey, what position would you play and why? I would like to be a center because I like to assist my team and create goals.
