The Islanders' 2022 fifth-round pick (142nd overall) is eight goals shy of tying last season's career-high 38 goals in 66 games played. The 20-year-old forward picked up four points (2G, 2A) in his last three games.
Along with his league-leading 30 goals, Maggio is also fourth in the OHL in points (55).
The Windsor Spitfires (26-9-3-1) improved to first in the Western Conference with 56 points, riding a four-game winning streak and winning eight of their last 10 contests.


QUINN FINLEY TRADED TO THE CHICAGO STEEL

Quinn Finley's right back where he started, returning to the same team where began his junior hockey career.

The Islanders' 2022 third-round draft pick (78th overall) was traded to the Chicago Steel from the Madison Capitols on Friday. Quinn spent his inaugural year with the Steel in the 2020-21 season, with six points (1G, 5A) in 39 games played as a 16-year-old. Following his days in Chicago, the young winger spent parts of two seasons with the Capitols, earning 56 points (22G, 34A), over the span of 62 games played with Madison.
Since being acquired by the Steel, Finley has played in two games, recording three shots against his former team in a pair of matchups between the Steel and the Capitols over the weekend.
The Steel (21-9-1-1) lead the Eastern Conference with 44 points, while the Capitols (8-22-1-1) sit in last place with 18 points.


JAKE PIVONKA CONTRIBUTES IN OMAHA'S BIG WEEKEND

Jake Pivonka came in clutch this weekend with a three-point performance to lift the Omaha Mavericks to a pair of victories over the Minnesota Duluth.
The Islanders' 2018 fourth-round draft pick (103rd overall) netted the game winner for the Mavericks in the third frame of the 3-2 win on Friday over Minnesota Duluth. During Saturday's contest, Pivonka had a two-point outing (1G, 1A), including a helper in his team's opening goal and a goal of his own to extend the lead 2-0, setting the foundation of the 6-1 victory.

The 22-year-old forward now has 13 points (6G, 7A) in 23 games played this season.
