So, Milan, what does a guy do with that commemorative silver stick, anyway?
"Staj still uses his," Mark Giordano chimed in, throwing a playful a barb at his friend and former Flames teammate, Matt Stajan.
That's Option A…

Option B, on the other hand, means Lucic will have to scour the homestead for an appropriate landing spot.
This isn't your typical trophy, after all.
"It's pretty heavy - I've felt a few," Lucic laughed. "I've got a place where I keep a bunch of memorabilia and all that type of stuff, but I don't know. I've got to find a new spot for that one.
"It's not one of those things you can just hang up on the wall yourself.
"I'm sure I'll find a good spot at my house for it when I take it home tonight."
They say that all good things are worth waiting for.
For Lucic, Game No. 1,000 feels like a lifetime ago, thanks to the fast-paced crunch of the NHL schedule.
But with what's on tap tonight at the Scotiabank Saddledome, the 1,003rd game of his remarkable pro career will certainly have some added emotion.
The Flames organization is going all-out to make this a special evening for the entire Lucic family. Milan, along his wife, Brittany, and three kids, Valentina, Nikolina and Milan Jr. will all be part of the festivities, beginning at 7:05 p.m. MT on Sportsnet Flames. Don't miss it!
Flames General Manager Brad Treliving will join the family on the red carpet for a video chronicling the big man's road to 1,000, followed by the presentation of gifts from the organization and his fellow teammates, and - of course - the pièce de resistance: Just the 355th silver stick ever created.
It weighs about 20 times more than your typical cue, and was created, engraved and polished by Custom Metal Works in Edmonton, featuring that famous, mirror-like finish.
For Lucic, this will be incredible addition to a trophy room that already includes a Stanley Cup, Memorial Cup and more.
"It's going to be a special night that I get to spend with my wife and kids," he said. "It sucks that we can't have fans and do it properly without social distancing and all that type of stuff. But it's still going to be a special night with the people most important to me, including my teammates.
"If it adds motivation to your teammates and guys around the league, who are trying to get to that mark. I've always looked up to guys who are durable and reach that mark, but it's pretty cool to be recognized and get to this point."

Lucic on big night at home to celebrate 1,000 games

In his 1,000th game last week in Toronto, Lucic had a night to remember - scoring an assist, along with a first-period fight, to come within a breath of his fourth-career Gordie Howe hat-trick.
He enters the night with 213 goals, 538 points and 78 fights in 1,002 career games. So, it begs the question:
What does he have for an encore?
If it's anything like last week, buckle up - because the 'big-game feel' is already pulsing through the room.
"It's been awesome, man," Giordano said. "Looch is one of my best buddies in the game, playing with him over the last couple of years. There's a lot of respect around the league for him and obviously having the career he's had, I look up to him, too. Obviously, the Stanley Cup sticks out, but obviously getting to 1,000 (games), too - it's a huge accomplishment.
"It's going to be nice to see him get that silver stick presented to him tonight, for sure."
