PROJECTED LINEUP - GAME 1 VS. WINNIPEG

Calgary's projected lines, pairings and starting goalie

by TORIE PETERSON @ToriePeterson / CalgaryFlames.com

The Flames will be making a game-time decision with their forward group ahead of Game 1 in their play-in series vs. the Winnipeg Jets.

With the likes of Sam Bennett, Zac Rinaldo, Mark Jankowski, and Tobias Rieder alternating on a line over the last couple days of practices, the Flames will narrow down that trio closer to puck drop.

When it comes to the starting netminder, Geoff Ward has not revealed if David Rittich or Cam Talbot will get the nod tonight.

"We've narrowed it down to two and it's not Gillies or Zagidulin," he said this afternoon when asked about the goaltending situation.

Here is the full projected lineup for tonight's match-up:

FORWARDS

Johnny Gaudreau - Sean Monahan - Elias Lindholm

Andrew Mangiapane - Mikael Backlund - Matthew Tkachuk

Milan Lucic - Derek Ryan - Dillon Dube

Sam Bennett / Zac Rinaldo - Mark Jankowski - Tobias Rieder (game-time decision on this line)

DEFENCE

Mark Giordano - TJ Brodie

Noah Hanifin - Rasmus Andersson

Derek Forbort - Erik Gustafsson

GOALTENDER

Geoff Ward has not announced his starter for Game 1

Tonight's battle starts at 8:30 p.m. MT with Sportsnet carrying the television broadcast and Sportsnet 960 The FAN carrying the radio broadcast.
