Jan Bednar - HC Banik Sokolov (Czech2) / HC Energie Karlovy Vary (Czech)

Height:6'4 Weight: 196 lbs. Birthplace: Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic
At 6-foot-4, Bednar has a pro-sized frame and a butterfly style that will suit him well as he develops. One of his strongest traits is his confidence and poise - he won't hesitate to come out and challenge shooters and if he is beaten or is out of position, he mentally rebounds quickly. Given his size, he's hard to beat high thanks to a quality glove hand and strong play with his blocker. He isn't shy about playing the puck either, coming out of his crease to move it out to his defenders or forwards. Bednar's CHL rights are held by Acadie-Bathurst Titan in the QMJHL and he is expected to play in the CHL in 2020-21.

JoelBlomqvist

Joel Blomqvist - Kärpät U20 (Jr. A SM-liiga)

Height:6'1 Weight: 205 lbs. Birthplace: Uusikaarlepyy, Finland
Spending the bulk of 2019-20 with the Kärpät U20 group, Blomqvist appeared in 34 games and posted a solid .931 save percentage. He plays an efficient style of game - not too flashy but effective thanks to his sound positioning and his reads. He's on the smaller side when it comes to goaltenders but he's learned how to play his angles well and cover as much space as possible despite standing 6-foot-1. He's extremely agile on his feet, moving through his crease with ease and is able to drop low to cover off the bottom of the net quickly. He has a calm mental makeup, rarely looking rattled and settling into games quickly.

Daws_TW_CHL_0008

Nico Daws - Guelph Storm (OHL)

Height:6'4 Weight: 203 lbs. Birthplace: München, Germany
In his third season in the OHL, Daws dressed for 38 games with the Guelph Storm and put up 2.48 GAA and a .924 save percentage. He's figured out how to maximize his 6-foot-4 frame, positioning himself to close off space and limit shooters. In addition, he has lightning-quick reflexes, especially when it comes to rebounds and limiting space. He also tracks the puck very well, reading the play at a high level. Daws has shown he's comfortable getting out of his crease to move the puck out of the zone. He likes to keep the play alive and is confident with making a move rather than covering up for a stoppage.

DylanGarand2

Dylan Garand - Kamloops Blazers (WHL)

Height:6'1 Weight: 172 lbs. Birthplace: Victoria, British Columbia
A highly athletic netminder, Garand put up a 2.21 GAA, a .921 save percentage, and 28 wins in 42 appearances with Kamloops in 2019-20. While he's small for a goaltender at 6-foot-1, he moves extremely well in his net to cover open areas down low and has an incredibly quick glove hand to cover off up top. His post coverage is commendable and a result of the aforementioned athleticism, with Garand's lateral movement being one of his strongest attributes.

SamuelHlavaj2

Samuel Hlavaj - Sherbrooke Phoenix (QMJHL)

Height:6'4 Weight: 218 lbs. Birthplace: Martin, Slovakia
Hlavaj has NHL size, standing at 6-foot-4 and coming in at 218-pounds. For a bigger goaltender, he moves well and can transition quickly when he needs to drop down to cover off the bottom of the net. He's a battler, never giving up on a shot or a rebound and asserting his physical presence in his crease when opponents try to jam the net. In these instances, he's not shy about using his stick and has been steadily gaining confidence when it comes to handling the puck as well. The Czech netminder spent the 2019-20 season in the QMJHL, appearing in 39 games with the Phoenix. During that span, he posted a 2.25 GAA and a .915 save percentage.
